Raymond’s New Introductions

We have now completed our shipping for 2025. We appreciate those that placed orders as well as those that visited our garden this year.  Thank you to all who ordered daylilies from us last year and in years past. Recently, we have agreed to have Windyhill Garden on the AHS Region 15 summer meeting tour in early June of 2027. In order for the garden to look its best for those garden visitors on the tour, we are going to suspend daylily sales until fall of 2027, after the summer tour. Thank you for understanding. If you have the opportunity, please join us for this summer meeting and tour, or plan to visit the garden this year, 2026, or next year. If you plan to visit at a time other than the tour, please do call ahead so to confirm we will be here. Thank you.

Thank you and happy gardening. Raymond & Wanda Quinn

PLEASE NOTE: We ask for a $40 minimum order, when shipping by mail, so it will cover all our shipping expenses for our heavier plants. We appreciate your interest and business. Please visit us during bloom season if you have the opportunity, although please call ahead to make sure we are home.

Thank you again for your business and enjoy the virtual visit.

Happening gardening!

Strange Things Happen

R. Quinn (2022 Fall) Height – 31″, Bloom – 6.5″, Dormant, Early-Mid Season, Rebloom, Branches – 3, Buds – 18, DIP: (Katisue Herrington x  Boss Hogg)

Burnished rose bicolor with yellow green sepals with rose blush on tips, large, yellow green throat, recurved sepals. Unusual Form Cascade, with the sepals recurved much more than the petals. A very unusual look. I doubted myself that I had the correct parentage for this flower until another seedling from the next years crosses looked very similar. Just not what you would expect from that cross. Sometimes they are predictable, other times, surprise! $45

Lemon With A Twist Of Lime

R. Quinn (2022 Fall) Height – 39″, Bloom – 6.00″, Dormant, Mid-Season, Branches – 5, Buds – 35, Fragrant, DIP: (Monocacy Summer Mist x  Sdlg 13-124)

Lemon self with very lime green throat, faint midribs on petals, sepals twist and roll under. It is a Crispate-Cascade Unusual Form. It is not AYD. (another yellow daylily) So many times, yellow daylilies will have very good plant habit as well as very desirable form. This is one of those. Often a garden favorite of the day $40 SOLD OUT

Mother And Child Reunion

Burnt orange, recurved petals and sepals, large, extended yellow green throat. I haven’t explored ‘Windyhill’s Dreamsicle’ as much as I should for its hybridizing potential. This is the first and I expect others will follow. It is a mother (WH. Discovery) and child (WH. Dreamsicle) reunion, and named for the Paul Simon song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0BUsDf0dxY
