We should have our website updated for spring 2025 by late January. We added 8 new intros last fall so please take a look at those. We would be happy for you to look around and delighted if you would like to order a few. We always ship more than two fans even with our intros as well as all other plants we ship. Often they can be 3 to 6 fans. We always want to ship nice size plants that will establish and bloom quickly. As we do each year, we will add some new additions and retire a few that had been around a while.
Thanks and happy gardening for 2025.

PLEASE NOTE: We ask for a $40 minimum order, when shipping by mail, so it will cover all our shipping expenses for our heavier plants. We appreciate your interest and business. Please visit us during bloom season if you have the opportunity, although please call ahead to make sure we are home.

Thank you again for your business and enjoy the virtual visit.

Wanda’s New Introductions

Too Hot To Hop

W. Quinn (2022 Fall) Height – 28″, Bloom – 4.25″, Dormant, Mid-Late Season, Branches – 4, Buds – 24, Fragrant, DIP: (Sdlg 13-138 X Sdlg 13-124)

Crimson petals and sepals with a prominent, dark scarlet eye. Another intro from our seedling 13-124. We never introduced it but we crossed a lot with it for a couple years. Like most hybridizers, we are always looking for names. We take our little long hair dachshund for rides every day through the park next door to us. Through much of this year we would often see mom deer and her young twins roaming through the campground. Normally when they would see us mom would trot off with the twins hopping along behind. One very hot summer day, mom and the kids just continued to lay on the cool ground as we rode near by. It was just “Too Hot To Hop” for the kids that day. $60 SOLD OUT

Windyhill’s Pumpkin And Spice

W. Quinn (2022 Fall) Height – 42″, Bloom – 4.375″, Dormant, Early-Mid Season, Branches – 3, Buds – 18, Fragrant, DIP: (Barnegat Light X Sdlg 13-124)

Pumpkin orange petals and sepals, darker veining on petals, darker eye on petals and faintly visible on sepals. Bitter orange-yellow throat. Unusual Form with the petals and sepals twisting and recurving. Another intro from our seedling 13-124. We never introduced it but we crossed a lot with it for a couple years. It was near white but never gave white kids, although enhancing the color and form in its crosses. Interesting outcome to have a white parent on one side. As we often say, you just do not know until you see what it does. $40

Sweet Home Carolina

W. Quinn (2022 Fall) Height – 30″, Bloom – 3.75″, Dormant, Early-Mid Season, Branches – 3, Buds – 18, Fragrant, DIP: (Sdlg 13-124 X Island Hopping))

Soft pink bitone with faint pink on sepal edges, darker pink band, small, bright green throat, white midribs on petals. Wanda introduced it a season early for one of our local daylily buds, Linda Abplanalp as it was one of her garden favorites. Once again, another intro from our seedling 13-124. All three of Wanda’s fall 2022 intros have 13-124 as one of the parents. It is striking how different in color and form they are from a common parent. Again, you just do not know until you see what it does. $45 SOLD OUT
