Container Gardening

Sound familiar?

I wanted to start this blog with container gardening because this is a quick way to get instant gratification.

I’ll share some pictures to give ideas of plant choices and colors throughout the winter and early spring.

I have about 18 containers of various shapes and sizes that can be enjoyed while in the garden or also from inside the house. It is important to me to also enjoy these while inside because when outside other things have my attention.

Most plants are in large urns or wire planters with a few ceramics all in keeping with scale to the surroundings.

I include conifers, perennials with a few annuals and bulbs because of the expense. Also, when the perennials or conifers outgrow the space, they are planted in one of the flower beds to grow to their potential. In an upcoming write-up I’ll focus on how I make the plant choices and number of plants required, but for now I wanted to share some while we have some spare time to enjoy.
