Windyhill’s Birds, Bees, Butterfiles 2020

Wanda’s first hummer arrived 3/31/2020, a few days ahead of schedule as we had expected. Now in late May, they are all back. Dozens of them. They must have had a good winter as they arrived already on the chubby side. Cardinals are also here in abundance.

I really enjoy taking pictures of birds and was able to capture this one of a cardinal leaving the feeder.
I currently have 6 feeders up for the hummers. Based on the numbers, I’ll probably need to put up a few more but hoping they will start to share . For some reason, a few do not want to share the feeders this year.
A female hummer watching me while coming to the feeder.
She finally got comfortable enough to get the sugar water.
A male hummer. Note the light on the feathers to shine red. It seems we have more females this year, so the males should be happy.
